I Am Maid of Honor! Oh No!

I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted on here! What's wrong with me? I promised a LA trip part two and never followed up on my promise! Well I was going to talk about my trip to the Marc Jacobs store on Melrose and my adventure on Rodeo Drive and post some pictures. Maybe I will still post those pics?

So what have I been doing you ask? Lots! I have been really busy just having fun and going to art class, planning my sister's wedding, and hanging out with friends. Crazy times. To me summer is all about having as much fun as possible, staying away from the computer (which heats up like crazy making me not want to turn it on) and tv. I am trying to go out as much as I can.

Today was my last day of art class so I decided it was time for an update on here. Comic Con is this Sunday.. I will try to take pictures of that and put them on here as planned.

LA Trip Part1

Yesterday I took a little adventure to LA. Turned out to be disastrous. Here's why... I got in a car accident. I was making a left turn and seriously misjudged how far away/how fast the cars were coming at me. Well I stupidly decided to go, and I quickly realized I couldn't make it across, so then I swerved and ran up a big curb and went into a gas station and had to slam on my brakes. Let's just say there was a ton of yelling (from my sister at me for being stupid), crying (by me for feeling like an idiot and putting our lives in danger), and no driving my car home. So we left it overnight in a parking lot where my sister's boyfriend works, thankfully that was sort of close by. Today we had to drive allll the way back to LA just to get it towed. But, we did go to Cheesecake Factory on the way home. Mmmm cheesecake.

My front wheel is all banged up and wobbles, my alignment is completely off, and I have a swollen and bruised knee. If you think about it REALLY hard it was kind of hardcore. I definitely learned a lesson from this one and am very thankfull we are ok.

Part two coming soon!

Guess What I Did......

Yep, you guessed it I went on a crazy impulse and rented Gossip Girl season one, disc one. I have no shows to watch during the summer and sometimes I just crave a good teen drama. I miss the days of The OC. I watched two episodes last night and am intrigued and frightened. Will watch more soon....

Oh, and I found out which actor/actress is leaving Grey's Anatomy. Maybe I won't watch anymore?

Moving on... I am officially one week into my summer art class. It's four hours long. Yes, four hours! I am completely exhausted when it is over. When I pictured how my art class would be I pictured hot artist boys, a cute slouchy purse to keep all my art supplies in, and me being a good artist. None of those happened. It's mostly me hunched over my desk thinking how much my back hurts from sitting on a stool. Not as glamourous as I thought. Anyways, we need to pick one subject to focus our drawings on for our sketch book. I am thinking: travel, France, movies, or like Jane Austen-y(eighteenth century) clothing, buildings, gardens. I am open to all suggestions and ideas!

Itunes Fun

On Grace's Birdcage she did a little 10 most played songs on itunes list, so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

1. Dreamlover- Mariah Carey
2. Love At First Sight- Kylie Minogue
3. Woman Trouble- Artful Dodger
4. Not Ur Girl- Katharine Mcphee
5. Jump- Madonna
6. Best of Me- Morningwood
7. Bad Reputation- Joan Jett
8. Let's Hear It For The Boy- Denise Williams
9. My Life Would Suck Without You- Kelly Clarkson
10. Respect- Aretha Franklin

That wasn't too embarassing. As you can tell I mostly listen to uplifting, "pop" songs over and over. They are more fun to dance to and put me in a better mood!

On a sadder note, my cat has been missing for a week now. Around here, I am not very hopeful that I will ever see her again. I have had so many cats in my lifetime and don't know how much more I can take. It's too hard to keep them indoors. I'm heartbroken. She is one of the coolest cats I've ever owned. I got her by chance when I was actually looking for one of my other missing cats, a lady called us and thought she had our cat, but it wasn't ours but we took her in anyways. <3

Thoughts & Brandon Flowers

Since I can't sleep because of my massive headache, I started thinking about this lil' blog of mine. I like writing in it, but I was thinking that my blog needs a little more focus to it. Oui? Non? So, like many other bloggers I think I'll start writing about cool things I discover/buy, inspiration, and just plain pretty things. Sound good?

Speaking of pretty I thought I'd share some pictures I took a couple years back at The Killers concert. I even used the first one in my photography portfolio =D. Keep in mind Brandon Flowers is wearing sparkly red shoes, like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. Swoooon.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Last night I ventured off to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. You know.. one of those midnight showings with audience participation. If you've never heard of this it's when a theater shows the film, but people act out the movie onstage, the audience shouts back lines, people throw things like rice, toast, cards, and toilet paper during certain scenes, and you can even dress up as the characters. I remember back in high school my friends went but I never wanted to go because I always thought it would be scary and uncomfortable. But, I'm over that and now I'm all about trying new things, so I decided to go. Plus, my love for movies urged me to go and see it.

The theater they held the movie in was really amazing- it was from 1928 and it was one of the first theaters to show "talkies" (movies with words and sound)! The movie was strange but also pretty amusing. The acting by the cast members was.. different. Yes, it was a little uncomfortable because there are cast members walking up and down the aisles yelling things and cursing, men wearing garters, people throwing rolls of toilet paper in your face. It was also kind of fun and an unusual experience. I liked dancing to the Time Warp. The only part I didn't like was the fact that I could barely ever hear the movie. Overall, an interesting experience to remember!

I Have Some Nerdy News

Ok that was a ridiculous title. Anyways, I am attending Comic Con 2009 at the end of July. Don't laugh! I know it is for really geeky, nerdy, type people. The kind of people that are going to dress up like The Joker from Batman or Yoda. But, hear me out.. there are gonna be celebs there and possible free stuff. What's better than that? Here's a link to info about comic con and what celebs have attended if you're interested. I decided to go because I love doing new things and meeting new people and it's held at the San Diego Convention Center which is only like a half hour from where I live. I've been kind of living in a bubble and just realized people actually travel long distances to attend comic con and it's a big deal. Oh, and I'm a fan of Star Wars, Xmen, and Iron Man. There, I am qualified.

Here's some of what I'm looking forward to:

Just some guys casually dressed as Ghostbusters and Luke Skywalker

Who knows, maybe I'll meet my future husband here? Maybe not..

I will post more on this, including the schedule they will post and maybe some pics of when I go. I know this will bring lots of readers! Haha =) Stay tuned!
